Andrea is the assistant programme manager coordinating the implementation of the Open Up Challenge in Nesta’s Challenge Prize Centre. The Challenge will accelerate a new generation of tools, using data unlocked by ‘Open Banking’, that could transform how small businesses navigate the market for financial services.
Prior to joining Nesta, Andrea specialised in not-for-profit audit and earned her chartered professional accounting (CPA) designation at KPMG Toronto. During this time, she spent four months seconded to United Way of Greater Toronto, where she helped deliver the charity’s annual workplace fundraising campaign.
Andrea has a BComm from Queen’s University (Canada) and an MSc International Management from the London School of Economics. As a part of her Master’s degree, Andrea spent a semester on exchange to the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, led pro bono consulting projects for a number of social enterprises, and wrote her dissertation on B Corporations.
Outside of work, you’ll find Andrea searching flights for her next weekend adventure, getting excessively competitive over casual board games, or on a long run.
